HOTEL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN, TRACED THROUGH A GUEST'S ACTUAL VISIT

Most hospitality architecture briefs get written room by room — lobby, guest rooms, restaurant, back-of-house. We plan the same spaces, but against the sequence a guest actually experiences, because that's what determines whether the design works.

• Arrival: The approach, drop-off, and entrance set the tone before anyone's checked in. Façade, landscaping, and entry sequencing are designed to signal what kind of stay this is going to be.

• The lobby: First impressions happen here, in under a minute. We design lobbies with a clear sense of scale and material quality, without turning them into wasted square footage that doesn't earn its cost.

• The guest room: This is where the stay actually happens. Layout efficiency, privacy, natural light, and acoustic separation from corridors and neighbouring rooms matter more here than any styling decision.

• Dining and amenities: Restaurants, lounges, and recreational spaces are planned with genuine circulation logic — for guests and for the staff serving them — so service doesn't visibly struggle during peak hours.

• Back-of-house and operations: The parts guests never see are what keep the parts they do see running well: staff movement, service corridors, storage, and utilities planned so operations don't compromise the guest experience.
